Finally leaving….really.
Ok, it’s come to a close here. I am trying to leave Huaraz tonight but the bus is full so i am going to leave tomorrow eve. One of the locals that i’ve met is going to go to Cuzco too so i’ll meet up with him there or if i can manage to stay here one more day without going crazy. I’m getting really antsy now and definitely ready to leave. I’ve seen a lot here and feel that it’s time. Cusco/Cuzco is the town known for Machu Picchu…all treks leave from there or nearby. It is a old colonial type mountain town that is pretty touristy i hear but i’ll let you know once i get there. I’ve met a cool girl named Jessica and she’s leaving tonight to Lima and then to Cuzco….I wanted to go with her but the whole bus deal isn’t happening. I’ve been hanging out with her, Jaime and Inguinne…(girl from Norway) friend of Jaime and so is Jessica…she lives in Mammoth CA that’s how Jaime know’s her….Anyways, sorry if this is jumbled, i’ve had a lot of coffee and been sitting on my but all morning with magazines, food, computers and conversation.
I haven’t been able to upload slideshows here because the connection is really slow here in the Andes. Hopefully in Cuzco i’ll be able to send some images your way. I have plenty of Markets, some ruins, locals and cool street corners.
