Last Update of the trip with photos to come later!
Where to begin again…. I’ll start with the present and digress. I am now with Sarah in San Pedro Guatemala on lake Atitlan. I arrived here three days ago late, tired and with no Sarah in sight. My flight was over booked, how they like to do things in Central America, so I ended up being about 4 hours late after a late connection in Costa Rica. Sarah waited for about 3 hours and with no phone,...

The real update...make sure you look and read...
Ok, so the last post I did about 10 days ago and just published it. I’m currently in Argentina (El Calafate) I just got done with El Chalten where Fitz Roy is and it was amazing. Ice climbing, glaciers and hiking. I have a feeling majority of photos will be published well after they’re creation date. I found it silly to be spending too much time working on images while I’m traveling….only...

The worst fever of my life.
I got a bus out of San Pedro to Santiago Chile…a 23 hour bus ride. I started to feel a little weird the night before traveling and even worse about 10 the next morning on the bus….that’s when it started. Little did i know i was in for the worst fever of my life. I am just getting better today. I don’t know the temp on the bus without a thermometer…wish i did,...
Potosi, Sucre, Uynui,>Bolivia /San Pedro, chile
Where do i begin in a smoky bar with the locals laughing really loud along with Andean music on the tvs in the background. Well i could start in Sucre….the judicial capital of Bolivia. (La Paz is the government capital) Potosi…where i was about 5 days ago and Sucre are both related. There wouldn´t be one without the other. Potosi (highest city in the world) used to be super rich in...

Copacabana...owwww.
Hey everyone! Here’s the update. I am in Copacabana Bolivia right now. I crossed the boarder with a couple from Finland a couple days ago. The journey here was crazy. There were protests and road blocks from Cusco to Puno. The bus agency had not been running buses for 4-5 days and finally the ran one at night. We were all excited and it seemed there was hope. Little did we know we were...
Still here
the farmers must be putting pretty big rocks in the road. a local protest by the village people. don’t think they have the proper equipment to clean it up….there must be a lot of farmers or they’re just really strong. you better listen or i’ll put rocks in the road! off to the train station to see if it’s possible to get a ride to Puno and if not its about a 50...

Stuck in Cusco
here i am on 3 hours of sleep debating what to do. I tried to catch a bus this morning to Puno (next to lake Titicaca) but some local farmers from the villages are protesting by putting rocks in the road. The buses haven’t been able to run the past 3 days. Do i get a room in my hostel or deal with heavy eyes all day and arrive in Puno at 4am….then what?! I could try the bus in the...

Cusco, Peru
Here in the beautiful city of Cusco…aside from the rain everyday it’s an awesome place. Cool markets, tempting shops, great architecture-old euro colonial style with distinguished roof tops that you’re required to use if you live in the city. Got here yesterday after an 8-hour bus ride and 1 hour flight. Jaime and I are headed to the base of Machu Picchu tomorrow and planning on...
Finally leaving....really.
Ok, it’s come to a close here. I am trying to leave Huaraz tonight but the bus is full so i am going to leave tomorrow eve. One of the locals that i’ve met is going to go to Cuzco too so i’ll meet up with him there or if i can manage to stay here one more day without going crazy. I’m getting really antsy now and definitely ready to leave. I’ve seen a lot here and...

5 lbs less and naturally detoxed!
Hello All! Still here in Huaraz. Mountains, climbing, trekking and rain everyday around 4:00, you know, typical mountain weather! I’m at a really cool coffee shop with awesome views, music and western food. I bought a bus ticket to leave yesterday and the couple locals that I’ve been hanging out with convinced me to stay. Cesar is one of the guys and he said I could stay at his place…the room...

I’m still here in Huaraz, Peru. I guess i’m having a hard time leaving….I’ve been here for about 6 days and 4 of them were trekking. It’s a beautiful city in the Andes.
I’ll start from the beginning….I got here in the eve and decided to hang with this German I met at the bus stop. (you’ll see video’s of him soon) The first day we went...

Lima, Peru
bad exhaust, poor sidewalks, chivche, fog, crazy traffic, coco leaves and instant coffee.that’s not all Lima Peru is but thats what i’ve seen a lot of. The instant coffee isn’t that bad either. I’m at a hostel on the coast right now and planning on going north tomorrow to Huaraz…it’s north and suppose to be amazing for trekking and climbing. You all should...

chilling in denver
finally made it to denver after 3 attempts to ride the greyhound. Sarah finally came to vail to pick me up. Been out in Colorado for about a week to see all my friends and some family before heading off on the great South America trip. Between keys left up in vail, getting into an accident with a motorcycle, and my dads heart going out of rhythm backpacking at 11,000 feet it’s been a good...
